Drivers Welding Victoria BC & Sooke Region – Providing Fabrication, Repair and Sales
While employed by Dominion Bridge from 1979 to 1985, I received Inter-Provincial Journeyman status in 1984. After Dominion Bridge closed down in 1985, I had steady contracts with such companies as Ipsco steel mill, PCL Construction and various small contracts around the Regina area.
I moved to British Columbia in the summer of 1997. I was employed at Point Hope shipyards on the Fast Ferry project as Aluminum Fabricator Chargehand. At that time I became chargehand of the graveyard shift in charge of crew on new fabrication of modular construction sections for the three Fast Cat Ferries and ongoing yard repairs. In 1999, I started Driver Enterprises Ltd. and commenced seeking my own contracts and certified the company, as well as Esquimalt Dry Dock Company at the graving dock. I obtained Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) welding supervisor’s certification and managed some major refit welding projects for Esquimalt Drydock Company.
These projects consisted of ferry refits, barge repairs and fishing boats also dealing with owners, insurance adjusters and chief engineers.
We look forward to assisting you with your industrial, commercial or residential welding projects.
Sincerely,
Shawn Driver
